Lawns have a massive effect on the appearance of your property, and when you take care of them, the effort pays off. That being said, not many people have time to pour into their lawns. Many times, just mowing once a week can be overwhelming with the rest of life going on. At Cunningham Lawn Care, we understand, and we have dedicated ourselves to caring for Conway lawns like they are our own. We take great pride in our work, and we have the experience needed to keep any lawn strong and beautiful.

In our last blog, we discussed how watering everyday isn’t always good and that leaving grass clippings on your lawn might be just what it needs. Today, we have two more myths to bust.

SPRING IS THE TIME TO GO AFTER DANDELIONS

  • While this isn’t false (you can do a lot to control dandelions by getting rid of them before they seed in spring), fall is the key time to get rid of them. You want to kill the roots so they don’t come back in spring. If you use weed killer, apply it in the fall. The dandelion will move food to its roots and take the weed killer along, eventually killing the roots.

I HAVE MOLES, SO I MUST HAVE GRUBS

  • Though moles will eat grubs, their main food source is earthworms. That means they aren’t a dependable indicator of grubs. If you do have grubs, you will see brown patches, and your grass will pull easily out of the dirt. If you are seeing signs of moles or grubs (or both), give us a call. We have the experience to help rid your lawn of these pests.
