4 SIGNS YOU NEED NEW TURF – PART 2
Grass is tough, but it isn’t invincible. It can get infected, dried out, and crushed. Whether it is dying or you simply don’t like it, replacing the turf can be a great option. In our last blog, we discussed two signs that it may be time to say goodbye to your original lawn, including lawn disease and bad drainage. Today, we have two more reasons to invest in the grass you have always wanted.
Depending on how prolific the bare spots of dirt are in your lawn, it may be time to replace the grass entirely. If there are just a few, reseeding can be a great option. However, if your lawn has dirt spots all over, you are probably better off with making a fresh start with new sod.
LOTS OF WEEDS
Strong grass chokes out weeds. Wherever weeds show up, the grass is weakening. Weeds are relentless, and the more there are, the weaker your lawn gets. After a while, it may be impossible to take back that ground. New, dense sod will be able to keep the weeds at bay.
BONUS: YOU DON’T LIKE THE GRASS
If you hate the grass in your lawn, you should work on replacing it. Maybe you just moved into a place, and the former owners planted grass you can’t stand. Go ahead and get it replaced!
